Son of a dairy farmer and born in South Gippsland, Darren moved up to Waaia and was dairy farming at 11 years old. Darren is a big family man with his wife and two kids, and is passionate about his community; being a life member of the Waaia Football Club and coaching the Bombers to a premiership is 1992. He began his career in real estate in 2004 after a 15-year stint as a planner and water bailiff at Goulburn Murray Water and has not looked back.
